PhD Position in Statistical Genetics (10/2008) The dissertation will focus on methodological research in whole genome association studies to improve power and accuracy. Multivariate phenotypes will be of prime importance and an exciting dataset of facial traits offers applications. The candidate is encouraged to start independent research in later stages of her/his tenure. Close integration into an interdisciplinary team is provided (mathematicians / physicians / molecular biologists), as well as training in modern statistical genetics. Prerequisite for this position is a master's degree in either of mathematics, informatics, statistics, physics or an equivalent qualification. The position is limited to three years.
